About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and professional individual to join our team in a key business support role. You will play an important part in helping the College run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall learner and staff experience.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• Communication Skills: Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with colleagues, learners and external partners in a professional manner.

• Educational Attainment: Holds Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent), ensuring strong literacy and numeracy skills applicable to administrative tasks and data management.

• IT Proficiency: Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications — including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams — with the ability to create, manage, and analyse documents, spreadsheets, and reports efficiently.

• Attention to Detail: Maintains a high level of accuracy when handling data, correspondence, and documentation, ensuring records and communications are precise and error-free.

• Organisational Skills: Displays exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Confidentiality and Professionalism: Understands and adheres to data protection and confidentiality requirements, handling sensitive information with discretion.

• Teamwork and Collaboration: Works effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and take initiative when required.

• Record-Keeping and Compliance: Ensures accurate maintenance of administrative and compliance records in line with organisational policies and relevant regulations.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Applies logical thinking and sound judgement to identify issues, suggest improvements, and implement effective solutions.

• First Aid Certification: Holds a valid First Aid qualification or demonstrates a proactive commitment to obtaining certification within an agreed timeframe.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in an Educational Environment: Prior experience working within a school, college, or further education setting, with a sound understanding of academic administrative systems, safeguarding procedures, and learner data management.

• Knowledge of MIS or CRM Systems: Familiarity with management information systems (e.g., ProMonitor, EBS, SIMS, or other education-specific databases) used in colleges for enrolment, attendance, and student record management.

Minute-Taking and Report Preparation: Ability to take clear, accurate meeting minutes and prepare professional reports.
