Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £27,665.42 to £40,643.91 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)

The Engineering Department offers a diverse curriculum, from practical mechanical engineering skills-based programmes to programmes designed to support learners into Higher Education or Degree Apprenticeships. The department boasts excellent facilities and has ambitious growth targets to help fill the skills shortages in the region and tap into the talent within the City.
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person to join our highly-dedicated team as a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer. This role primarily involves working with learners across a range of levels who ultimately will be able to develop high levels of skill in CAD, CAM and CNC. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and hold a minimum of a Level 5 qualification (ideally a bachelor’s degree) in a suitable discipline. They will also hold, or be prepared to work towards, a level 5 teaching qualification.
As a Lecturer in Engineering, you should:
• Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one
• Hold a minimum of a Level 5 qualification in a related discipline
• Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
You should also be able to demonstrate:
• Experience of working in an education environment
• Evidence of effective tracking and monitoring of a wide range of students on a range of different programmes
