About the Role 

We are looking for a motivated and professional individual to join our team in a key business support role. You will play an important part in helping the College run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall learner and staff experience.

As a Payroll & Pensions Officer, you will play a key role in supporting both HR and Payroll functions, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across the employee lifecycle. You’ll provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, maintain accurate payroll records. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the College’s HR systems and ensuring that all salary and pension information is provided to the College’s external payroll and pensions provider in an accurate and timely manner resulting in staff being paid correctly and salary/pension reports are available as required. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to HR and payroll administration.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• CPP Payroll Qualification or equivalent  

• Level 2 in English & Maths

• Experience providing generalist Payroll support

• Experience of using CINTRA or comparable HR & Payroll systems

• Experience within an Educational setting 

• Experience of working with hourly employees and Term time only holiday calculations 

Desirable:

• Experience within an Education HR Function

• Knowledge of TPS and LGPS Pension schemes
