About the Role

Working with the Quality Manager, Digital Learning and Resources, the Virtual Reality Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining Virtual Reality (VR) equipment and related resources.

This role involves ensuring the safe and effective use of VR technology, supporting staff and students in using VR equipment and accessing learning activities, and managing the timetable for the use of the VR room and equipment to ensure fair and equitable access across all curriculum areas.

Additionally, the technician will be at times requested to work with the wider Quality Team to offer training support for curriculum staff to effectively use the VR technology.

Our immersive hub features state of the art AV/VR (augmented reality/virtual reality) equipment, allowing students to engage in interactive, digital simulations across various areas. For instance, students enrolled in courses will have the opportunity to use VR headsets to experience realistic environments and scenarios, providing an invaluable, hands-on perspective that traditional classroom settings cannot replicate.
